The Story Is Evolving!!!

Long Time No See

I know it has been a while since you have last heard from me and that is because I have been hard at work on writing the plot for Parallax. Over the past few months I have been pushing the limits of the story and I’m super proud of how much the story has developed.


So The Story Has Evolved… How So?

I’m glad you asked! Since you have last heard from me, Atlas, Orcinus and I were still figuring out what to do with many of the characters as well as what type of world we wanted to create. After many productive conversations and even debates, we have made so many creative choices that the premise of our game is completely different from what we had originally imagined it to be. With that said here is a breakdown of what has changed…

Behind-the-scenes comments on the storyline

We have created many new characters with many different backgrounds, goals, and personalities. Two examples of new characters are the eccentric Logan Payne, a mad scientist who oversees all of Orion’s experiments in the asylums, and Leonidas, a powerful monster-like deity that watches over the Parallax world and the many worlds beyond.

There are many more characters that have been added to the game, but I can’t spoil them all. We have also been busy building the Parallax world to the point that I have redesigned it more times than I could count. However, with each new version we come closer to creating a world with incredible sights, places and features. Stay tuned to learn more about the evolution of the Parallax world.

In terms of story content, I am focused on the plot and I am thrilled to announce that progress on the third draft of the story is going smoothly.

With each draft, I am getting closer and closer to creating a narrative that I’m certain that you will enjoy. Also, I’m not sure if you’ve heard but Parallax has lore now! Isn’t that crazy. Atlas, Orcinus and I have all been discussing how we could create lore that not only expands the narrative of the Parallax world, but creates a way for the player to understand the thoughts and feelings of our amazing cast of characters during many key events. Words cannot express how proud I am of the Parallax team for making this story and game come to life in such a short amount of time. As of writing this, Atomic Rush is on the verge of its 2nd Anniversary and just thinking about that blows my mind! Atlas, Orcinus, and I will continue to work hard on making this game that is enjoyable for everyone.
